SKELETONS

Skeletons are no strangers to the music industry as they formed from the ashes of old favourites,ThisGirl. They play wonderfully written cabaret esque pop punk. There's a couple of good videos on their myspace from when they played last years One Big Weekend for Radio 1. Check it.

The Binary Kids

Decent, simple, trashy, fun. That's just 4 words to describe The Binary Kids and there's plenty more where that came from! Anyone that writes songs about about confectionary is A-OK to me.

Recommended Track -  Kit Kat.

Mark Hole

He may look like he should work in Lloyds TSB but Mark Hole has successfully made some kind of dark jazz pop mish mash and it's a bit bloody good. Check out his lyrics as they're so amazingly....perverted. One of his songs has the lyric, "I talked to a doctor, she was nice so I fucked her. I talked to a dentist she looked good...she gave me head". Charming.

Donora

Donora are a 4 piece band all the way from Pennsylvania,USA . They're one of the few guitar bands with a female front person that I really enjoy. They're a bit like Ladyhawke if she wasn't so miserable or Sky Larkin if they weren't so reserved. Also the video of their cover of M.I.A's Paper Planes on the Myspace is awesome. BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Daisy Dares You

Go on,you want to throw up don't you? That's fine but you'll want to do it again...and again.
Daisy Dares You is a 15 year old from London and she's going to massive. Hubba Bubba!

Elephants

Elephants are a special band. Not just because of their songs are good but mostly because for such a young and newly formed band their sound is almost perfectly formed and their live performance is done with such confidence. They're from Folkstone and have had plenty of Radio 1 airplay including a session they did for Huw Stephens at Maide Vale Studios!

This City

This City are seriously exciting and anthemic. One of the guitarists looks like Busy P and Fearne Cotton is a fan. Oh,and they've just signed a mega-deal with Epitaph Records. Get them,eh.

Cold Hearts

Crap name. Cool band.
A young Munsters inspired (...probably) indie-punk band from Buckinghamshire.

Recommended Track - Boneyard

Yelps!

I don't need to write much about YELPS! The picture does most of the talking.....

Recommended Song - Brains On Fire

Wear Wolves

Having been together only a few months,Wear Wolves are already gaining huge amounts of attention with their badass riffs and eccentric vocals. This is perfect pop punk but without the fart jokes.

Recommended Track - Page 3

Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was recently dubbed as 'the new Bjork' by The Guardian and in the past has worked with artists such as Frankmusik and Burial. Listen to her once and you'll be hooked for life. Truth.
